Important! Before you start, be sure to clean the mussels well. Remove any impurities from the shells using a knife under running water.
When the mussels are nice and clean, place 4 tbsp of water in a pot. Add the mussels, the bay leaf, a slice of lemon, and a glug of oil.
Put a lid on the pot and turn on the heat.
After 7-8 mins, check whether the mussels have opened. This means they’re ready!
Turn off the heat, drain the liquid from the pot, and serve the mussels.
